To create a quote /draft order in shopify that can be sent to a customer for payment:
Go to Orders and Click "Create Order"
Add a product by either Searching for a product (A) already in Shopifys system or Creating a custom product (B).
For Custom Products (B), Input the product name, price, quanity and shipping weight (NOTE: Shipping weight affects default shipping costs just like regular orders.)
Enter the Customers name (C) and info (you can either create a new customer or search for a customer profile already in Shopifys system)
OPTIONAL – Add Discount (either an amount or a percentage)
IMPORTANT – Add Shipping. Choose either the Default Calculated Shipping Cost, Free Shipping, or input a Custom amount. If no shipping cost is chosen, the cost will not show up on the Invoice but will still charge the default amount according to Shopify Shipping Rules (ei. $15.95 for Fedex 2-Day, free shipping for orders over $99, etc.). It is imporant to chose the shipping before sending the invoice so the customer receives the full total in the email.
After the Order is completely filled out, you can choose to either send the customer the invoice(quote) via email or you can collect payment via credit card right away.
If sent via, Click "Send Invoice" > "Review Invoice" > "Send Invoice"
The customer will receive a copy of the invoice via with a link to make a payment and complete the order (see screenshots below for example).
NOTE: {{name}} refers to the Invoice number, in this example it is "D3"

If you need to make changes to the quote, resend the quote, etc, you can always re-open the order under Orders > Drafts on the main Shopify dashboard.
